OZ Photos backs up your iPhone’s photos and videos on its own, sorts them by date and place, and keeps a copy in a vault nobody can delete. No ads and no selling your data.

What it does
- Automatic iPhone backup
- Your photos and videos upload on their own, in the background too. At original quality, Live Photos and RAW included.
- Timeline
- Everything sorted by month and day, newest to oldest, with filters for photos, videos, screenshots, Live and RAW.
- Viewer
- Full screen, with each photo’s date, place, camera and lens, and videos with a light version that plays instantly.
- Places
- Your photos by country and city, based on where you took them.
- Duplicates
- Find identical copies and keep just one. Whatever you remove stays in the trash for 90 days: nothing is deleted at once.
- Keep forever
- Mark the photos you never want to lose: they can’t go to the trash until the mark is removed.
- Faces, only if you want
- Group photos by person. It’s off by default; you turn it on, it runs on OZ’s own servers (no third-party services) and you can delete it all whenever you want.
- iPhone, iPad, Mac and the web
- The OZ Photos app for iPhone and iPad (and on Apple silicon Macs), and any browser at app.ozstorage.app/fotos. The apps arrive on the App Store very soon.
Nothing gets lost by accident
No ads, no training AI models on your photos and no selling data. Faces are off by default, run on our own servers (no third-party service sees them) and can all be deleted in one step.
- A copy in the vault
- Every photo also has a copy in AWS Glacier Deep Archive, locked against deletion for a year. Not even we can delete it.
- 90-day trash
- Whatever you remove stays in the trash for 90 days and comes back with one click.
- When your plan is full, nothing is deleted
- If your plan fills up, backup stops with a notice. Your photos stay put; choose a bigger plan whenever you like.
